HONORARY ALDERMAN PANEL PDF 54 KB To report to the Policy and Organisation Board and recommend to Full Council the decision of the panel. Additional documents: Minutes: Consideration was given to the report of the Chief Executive reporting to the Policy and Organisation Board and recommending to Full Council the decision of the Honorary Alderman panel.
RESOLVED: That it be recommended to Council that any future Honorary Alderman be approved in line with the following criteria.
a) those that have given eminent service to the Council, the Borough and the Community; and that
b) Prior to any proposal for the award of Honorary Alderman being presented to the Council, by way of consultation with the Group Leaders, cross party support for the nomination and proposal should be sought and given.
